The Amputee Coalition is proud to recognize the support of American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics Inc. (ABC) as a Cobble Stone Sponsor of the Amputee Coalition’s Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp for 2011. The Cobble Stone sponsorship represents a financial commitment of $5,000 to the camp for its programs and activities. The youth camp is a 5-day traditional summer camp experience for children ages 10-17 who have lost an arm or leg or were born with limb differences.
“Our Youth Camp is a unique and especially impactful program for kids living with limb loss or limb difference,” Kendra Calhoun, Amputee Coalition president and chief executive officer, stated in a press release. “ABC is a strong partner with the Amputee Coalition, and we are grateful for their generous contribution that will help us bring 100 youth to camp this July.”
According to Calhoun, the camp is supported through gifts and grants. She said camper outcomes from the camp include increased self-esteem and self-confidence.
“The youth camp is a life-changing program for youth with limb loss and limb difference.” Catherine A. Carter, executive director for ABC. We are proud to be able to continue the support of the camp in 2011.”
ABC has support the Amputee Coalition’s Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp since 2009.
