The American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association is hosting the inaugural World Congress Sept. 18-20 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
The meeting is hosted by AOPA and its organizing partners, including the Amputee Coalition, the Canadian Association for Prosthetics and Orthotics, Con.Fair.Med, Mexico — National Member Society of ISPO, Uniting Frontiers and the United States National Member Society of ISPO.
Highlights of the program include a keynote address from Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth; presentation of the International Lifetime Achievement Award to Ottobock chief executive officer Hans Georg Näder; a symposium regarding health care delivery systems from around the world; an update from Haiti; research presentations from different segments of the orthotics and prosthetics field; educational programming related to diabetic and senior care; and special regulatory survival programming geared to US providers facing RAC audits.
