The Amputee Coalition announced that its president and chief executive officer, Kendra Calhoun, will be resigning effective August 31, according to a news release.
In her new role, Calhoun will serve as senior vice president of marketing and public at Avera Health.
“Kendra has made a significant contribution to the ongoing development of the Amputee Coalition as a national organization during her 5-year tenure as president and chief executive officer,” Marshall Cohen, chairman of the board for the Amputee Coalition, stated in the release. “She has overseen key projects such as a major redevelopment of the Amputee Coalition brand, establishment of a greater Washington, DC headquarters, the implementation of a 5-year strategic plan, development of robust education and growing philanthropy programs and lifted the profile of the Amputee Coalition’s work significantly through both industry and government channels. Kendra is leaving the organization in its strongest position, both financially and organizationally, in its entire history.”
Susan Stout, the chief policy and program officer for the Amputee Coalition, has been named interim president and chief executive officer until a new candidate is identified.
