Spokane Falls Community College in Spokane, Washington, recently hosted its third O&P technician CE course. Keynote speaker Daniel Blocka, BSc, CO, FBCB, of George Brown College in Toronto, addressed attendees on international trends for prosthetic and orthotic technicians.
The event attracted 18 speakers and 109 attendees, including 25 O&P students. According to the school, attendees traveled from Canada and across the United States, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Oregon, Montana, Ohio, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.
The CE course was approved for 15 credit hours by the American Board for Certification, 16.5 credit hours by the Board of Certification/Accreditation and 12 credit hours by Orthotics Prosthetics Canada.
