ATLANTA — Students in the O&P masters’ degree program at Georgia Institute of Technology are attending the International African American Prosthetic and Orthotic Annual Meeting for free, according to a video perspective from Tony Thaxton Jr., CPO, LPO.
Thaxton, a nationally certified prosthetist-orthotist with Hanger Clinic, IAAPOC treasurer and host of this year’s meeting, said it provides students with the opportunity to meet O&P experts from across the country at a national meeting.
Thaxton also said the meeting will include a presentation by Lee Childers, PhD, a professor at Georgia Tech.
