Hanger Inc. will continue to support disaster relief efforts by donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross to aid those impacted by Hurricane Irma, according to a press release.
In addition, the company announced plans to match others’ donations up to $10,000 through Oct. 31. Hanger had previously donated and promised to match up to the same amount to help with the Red Cross’ efforts following Hurricane Harvey. That announcement resulted in more than $31,700 donated by Hanger and members of the community, the release noted.
“In the last several days, our Hanger family once again witnessed the devastating impact of another catastrophic hurricane,” Vinit Asar, Hanger president and chief executive officer, said in the release. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by Hurricane Irma, including many of our patients and team members. As with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, we are committed to helping rebuild after Irma, and we are proud to partner with the Red Cross in pursuit of that goal. The generous support already shown by members of the Hanger family and community has been incredible; thank you to all who have contributed.”
