LAS VEGAS — Material science has been one of the greatest improvements in the recent history of O&P, according to a video perspective from Brad Mattear, LO, CPA, CFo.
From lightweight carbon fiber to composite materials, material science is an advantage for amputees and orthotic users, Mattear, the managing director for North America for Nabtesco and Proteor in USA, said here at the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) World Congress.
Mattear, who has been in the industry for 17 years, said he also has seen professional growth in AOPA, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
