Ottobock HealthCare announced that John Spillar has a new role as director of sales, North America for upper limb. The move will reportedly support the company’s addition of the multi-articulated bebionic hand to its upper limb portfolio.
“We recently announced the acquisition of the bebionic hand from RL Steeper and are more committed than ever in continuing to maintain that leadership position in the market,” Brad Ruhl, president of U.S. Healthcare and NA Prosthetics for Ottobock HealthCare, said in a press release.
“John is a highly experienced sales and marketing professional, having worked in several areas with Ottobock for more than 7 years,” Ruhl said. “John will lead our team of dedicated upper limb specialists and coordinate their activities, together with our dedicated upper limb professional and clinical services team members to greatly enhance the support we are able to provide to our customers and their patients as they determine the best possible solution in meeting their needs.”
Ottobock announced it is enhancing its upper limb portfolio, which includes the Michelangelo Hand, with a focus on customer service and education.
“I’m excited to work with my team to heighten our upper limb customer support,” Spillar said in the release. “Our commitment to upper limb outcomes has intensified, so we will be adding more trials and educational opportunities for our customers.”
