The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation has received approval for five continuing education credits in 36 states for physical therapists who attend the group’s First Stride and First Thing’s First training sessions, according to a press release.
First Stride offers therapists a hands-on training course and introduction to gait for lower limb amputees. First Things First is a classroom-based course, with clinical experience, on falls and recovery. Both courses are offered by the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) and its First Clinics, under the direction of Chris Doerger, PT, CP, the press release said. The approval for continuing education credits was made by Pro Cert.
