The Board for Certification/Accreditation is seeking nominations for its board of directors, according to a press release. The deadline for nominations is July 31.
“Nominees should have a desire to take an active role in defining the future of [the Board for Certification/Accreditation] BOC, an award-winning, independent nonprofit committed to excellence in patient care since 1984,” according to the release. “Board members are required to participate in four board meetings annually.”
During their 4-year term, BOC board members are responsible for the organization’s vision, goals, plans and activities, as well as managing its resources and maintaining its integrity, the release noted. First-term board members have the option to run for a second consecutive term.
“Underlying all their duties is the recognition by every board member of the importance of the ongoing role that BOC-certified professionals and BOC-accredited facilities play in patients’ lives,” according to the release.
Additional details and nomination forms are available at the board’s website, at www.bocusa.org/boc-board-directors. The BOC’s bylaws prohibit self-nominations.
