The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation has announced that Roger Rose, of Evanston, Illinois, has won its 2017 Dale Yasukawa Scholarship.
According to a press release, Rose will receive $1,000 to further his education by attending a national, regional or local chapter or society meeting.
“We are thrilled with the selection of Roger Rose as the 2017 scholarship winner,” Robin Burton, executive director of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF), said in the release. “Roger continues a long line of excellent candidates from [Northwestern University] to focus on both education and clinical care.”
Rose is expected to graduate from Northwestern University’s master program in prosthetics and orthotics in March 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree, in biomedical engineering, from Arizona State University in May 2016. According to the release, Rose has teaching and clinical experience in the United States and abroad.
