WillowWood has received ISO 13485:2003 certification from National Science Foundation’s International Strategic Registrations, after it met all requirements for a comprehensive quality management system for the design and manufacturing of medical devices, according to a press release.
“Obtaining our ISO 13485:2003 certification is the culmination of a company-wide initiative,” Steve Huggins, quality assurance manager for WillowWood, said in the release. “It has been gratifying to see the entire WillowWood team work together to meet this far-reaching goal. We understand the need to continuously improve our processes, products and customer experience, and this certification illustrates that mindset perfectly.”
The certification, granted in February, means the company meets international standards for quality, safety and efficiency, according to the release.
“ISO certification allows us to explore new market opportunities and establish new distributorships,” Ryan Arbogast, president of WillowWood, said in a press release. “We continue to expand into the global market and we’re helping more amputees worldwide than ever before. Helping amputees regain mobility is really what it is all about.”
