Silipos, a developer of gel technologies and products., has announced the U.K.-based Algeos will act as its exclusive distributor in the podiatry, physiotherapy and orthotics markets in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
According to a press release, Algeos will stock the full range of Silipos products, including orthopedic gels and its new Active Line, which was launched in March.
“Algeos is a strong partner with an established network,” Josh Margolis, president and chief executive officer of Silipos, said in the release. “We are growing internationally at a fast pace and getting a lot of interest from outside the U.S. We feel the partnership with Algeos will help promote that expansion.”
Gels from Silipos contain mineral oil that gradually diffuses into the skin, shielding it against calluses and dryness, and reduces scarring, according to the release. Its products, which are odorless, latex-free, antimicrobial, vegan and hypoallergenic, can be washed and reused, the release noted.
“Silipos is the original, go-to brand for foot care and orthopedic gels,” Marc Cameron, product designer for Algeos, said. “We feel this partnership will elevate both Algeos and the Silipos brands.”
