CHICAGO —Tom DiBello, CO, FAAOP, director of clinical and scientific affairs for Hanger Clinic, said what he loves most about O&P is the patient interaction.
Speaking at the 2017 American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium, DiBello said that meeting and interacting with patients is remarkable.
“We get the type of gratification that very few other members of the health care profession are able to achieve,” he said. “The relationships we build with our patients are sometimes decades long — they come to depend on us, and it is rewarding to be able to help them.”
