Össur is accepting nominations for its 2017 #MyWinningMoment contest, which celebrates the stories of individuals with upper or lower limb loss, according to a press release.
Submissions will be judged on photographic technique, composition, subject, originality and the individual’s story. According to the release, entrants have a chance to win a 4-day, 3-night trip to Reykjavik, Iceland, the home of Össur’s global headquarters. The prize package for two people includes hotel, airfare and ground transportation.
“For all of us at Össur, the reward for developing new technologies and ever more effective
prosthetic limbs is the incredible sense of satisfaction when we see what it means to the
people who use our products,” Jon Sigurdsson, Össur president and chief executive officer, said in the release. “Last year, we received some 250 snapshots of people’s lives, each one capturing a moment in time that represented something special for the individual. It is the small, personal victories that count, and it is a privilege to learn about and share those achievements. #MyWinningMoment embodies our core belief in life without limitations.”
The company will accept nominations until June 30, according to the release. All entrants must be amputees with upper and/or lower limb loss, who are able to travel before the end of 2017. Contest entry is free.
Throughout the contest, Össur will showcase entries on the contest website and via its social media channels. The company will announce the winner in July.
