CHICAGO — Young students entering the profession, new education requirements, and emergent technology are reasons to be excited about the future of O&P, according to Brad Watson, BOCO, BOCP, LPO, owner of Clarksville Limb & Brace and Rehab, in Tennessee.
At the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium, Watson said students working with new O&P technology will help move the profession forward.
“The technology is advancing well beyond the last 3 or 4 years,” he said. “I’m looking forward to how much more it can expand, especially seeing the group of young people getting involved and able to enhance that technology.”
