Bionik Laboratories has appointed Malcolm G. Bock, BS, as its new vice president of engineering, according to a press release.
“We are excited to welcome Malcolm to our company as [vice president] VP of engineering,” Peter Bloch, CPA, CA, Bionik chief executive officer and board chairman, said in the release. “His engineering expertise and successful track record of bringing products from concept to market will be of great value in advancing on our growth strategy.”
According to the release, Bock most recently served as vice president of engineering at Respiratory Motion. He also served as the senior director of global research and development for Covidien Ltd. In 2011, Bock received the Covidien Inventor of the Year Award. He also received the Best Divisional Vitality Index and Best New Product awards for his work at Covidien.
In addition, Bock has launched more than 38 new products. He has also been awarded 30 patents, with an additional 28 patents pending.
