The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation has named Össur Americas as a 2017 platinum level sponsor, according to a press release. The commitment will put Össur at the foundation’s highest level of sponsorship.
According to Robin L. Burton, executive director of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF), Össur’s support will allow OPAF to its First Clinics initiative, an introductory-level adaptive recreation series for individuals with a physical or mobility challenge.
“We will be hosting an Össur First Clinic during 2017 and [we] look forward to reaching many more participants and their families,” Burton said in the release.
“OPAF’s First Clinics are a valuable resource to the amputee community,” Kim De Roy, CPO, PT, vice president of Sales and Marketing and Education at Össur Americas, said in the release. “We are excited to be their exclusive platinum partner for 2017 and [we] look forward to working with them to help amputees of all activity levels pursue life without limitations.”
