PEL LLC recently announced a partnership with Amoena USA Corporation, a clothing manufacturer tailored to women recovering from mastectomy or breast reconstruction or who are experiencing symmetry issues.
According to a company press release, PEL will distribute the Amoena product line through its O&P network of providers. The line includes silicone breast forms, bras, swimwear and symmetry products.
“Those women are the inspiration for and behind our products,” Ken Shaw, president and general manager of Amoena, said in the release. “Prior to partnering with PEL, our products were available through select retailers, hospital boutiques and departments stores. Now, our products will be directly available to specialists and fitters throughout the O&P industry.”
Michael A. Sotak, PEL president and chief executive officer, said Amoena’s ongoing commitment to innovation has resulted in 4 decades of patented materials, products and manufacturing methods.
“Their commitment is much like ours. As the industry grows and technology and products change, we have adapted. But our commitment to O&P practitioners, providers, technicians and fitters has remained the same: We are here for them; to help them change lives; to give people their lives back. Together with Amoena, we will do just that.”
