Ekso Bionics Holdings, Inc. recently announced the hiring of Ruediger Hausherr as senior medical device executive for the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa markets.
According to a company press release, Hausherr brings more than 20 years of experience to the table in executive leadership positions in the orthopedic field. He formerly served as CEO and shareholder for the former ORMED GmbH, now part of DJO Global. He is a board member for multiple health care companies.
“We are proud to expand our global business with the addition of Ruediger Hausherr, who brings extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation segment as well as of the European healthcare market,” Thomas Looby, MBA, president and chief commercial officer at Ekso Bionics, said in the release. “We will greatly benefit from his strategic vision, leadership and proven track record for developing and delivering value in our target markets.”

Ekso Bionics also recently hired Marco Sauer as sales manager and Sebastian Stallasch as clinical specialist therapist. Sauer will work with German-speaking countries, while Stallasch will be in charge of therapeutic evaluation of potential patients, as well as training physical therapists on the company’s medical exoskeleton.
