Partnership brings visibility to disabled models at New York’s Fashion Week show

Global Disability Inclusion LLC recently announced a partnership with FTL MODA to increase the diversity and visibility of models with disabilities during New York Fashion Week, which takes place Sept. 10 to Sept. 17, 2015.

The FTL MODA fashion show, which will be held Sept. 13, will include a wide range of diverse models with disabilities. The show will be held at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal.

The partnership also has supported a Times Square billboard, to be displayed Sept. 13, featuring emerging model Shaholly Ayers. Ayers is a congenital amputee who also will appear in the FTL MODA show and will be the first amputee to walk in a New York Fashion Week show without wearing a prosthesis.
