Wounded Warrior Project announced it has served more than 75,000 wounded veterans through its 20 free programs and services.
“Our entire organization – wounded warriors, their families and caregivers as well as our employees and volunteers – celebrate this monumental Wounded Warrior Project landmark,” Steve Nardizzi, Wounded Warrior Project’s CEO, stated in a press release. “It is a testament to the dedication each and every person involved has to our mission to honor and empower the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.”
Wounded Warrior Project has a goal of reaching 100,000 injured veterans by 2017, as well as to raise $5 million for its long-term support trust to care for severely wounded veterans whose caregivers can no longer provide for them. The organization also recently launched the Warrior Care Network to connect wounded veterans and their families to mental health care.
