The Amputee Coalition will hold its 29th National Conference in Tucson, Ariz., from July 23 to 25, according to a recent press release.
The event, themed “Everyone’s a Star,” will offer educational seminars, networking, clinics, adaptive sports and social events, as well as peer and support group training, according to the release.
“On behalf of the Amputee Coalition, we are pleased with the number of people who are attending from so many walks of life,” Susan Stout, Amputee Coalition president and CEO, said in the release. “This promises to be a very successful conference. The attendees and their families, the Coalition’s board of directors, orthotists and prosthetists, military, government personnel and vendors all have much to offer.”
This is the largest gathering of people with limb loss and limb difference in the country, the release said. The Coalition will also host its regional Limb Loss Education Days later this year in Columbus, Ohio, and Portland, Ore.
