Hanger recently announced the appointment of Cynthia L. Lucchese, CPA, MBA, chief administrative officer and chief financial officer of Hulman & Company, to its board of directors.
“Cindy has an extensive depth of experience in financial accounting matters in health care business,” Vinit Asar, MBA, Hanger president and CEO, said in a company press release. “When combined with her involvement on the audit committee of two public companies, her impressive background is an excellent fit for Hanger.”
As former vice president and chief financial officer of Hillenbrand, Lucchese helped transform the company from a $650 million North American business to a $1.6 billion global, industrial company, according to the release. She also served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Thoratec Corp. and held various positions at the former Guidant Corp., now part of Boston Scientific Corp., including vice president, treasurer, vice president of finance and administration and vice president of the controller and chief accounting office.
“She will bring valuable perspectives and insights to our board of directors as we continue to advance our financial operations,” Asar said.
