The National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics has selected David McGill as president of its board of directors for the 114th Congress.
McGill, who is vice president of Reimbursement and Compliance for Össur Americas, previously served as board vice president for the The National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics (NAAOP) and has been a member of the board since 2009.

“David has a unique combination of personal experience with limb loss, professional knowledge of prosthetics and orthotics, and a strong sense of advocacy coupled with a passion to give other amputees the opportunities afforded to him,” Peter W. Thomas, JD, general counsel for NAAOP, stated in a press release. “He will accomplish much in his NAAOP presidency.”
George Breece, executive director of NAAOP, added, “Dave is a first class gentleman who not only understands limb loss as a patient but has a true sense of caring for others and a strong work ethic for advocacy not seen every day. We are proud to have him as our president for the 114th Congress.”
McGill, an employee of Össur since 2006, provides in-person and web-based presentations to practitioners, business owners and billing personnel in the field of O&P. He is a past board member and chair of the Amputee Coalition, where he served from 2003 to 2011.
