Advanced Arm Dynamics has announced the opening of the Gulf Coast Center of Excellence in Houston.
“As the fourth most populous city in the nation and home of the largest medical center in the world, Houston is an ideal location for our newest Center of Excellence,” John Miguelez, CP, FAAOP, president and senior clinical director of American Arm Dynamics (AAD), stated in a press release.
Scott Spring, CP will serve as clinical manager. Spring previously worked with AAD at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. in 2011, providing upper extremity prosthetic services to American service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. He was named clinic manager for the new facility in 2013. Lisa S. Walters, OTR, was named rehabilitation coordinator for the new clinic. Before joining AAD in 2015, she worked as supervisor of occupational therapy at the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio. She also serves as an adjunct professor for the Army-Baylor Occupational Program.
