The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics announced it now offers digital badges at no cost for certified members to electronically communicate their certification and accomplishments.
Through social media, emails, websites and electronic resumes, certifees can now communicate their capabilities and achievements by utilizing the digital badges, which are managed through American Board for Certification’s (ABC’s) digital badging partner, ProExam Vault.
The ABC digital badges protect credential integrity with a secure link provided by ABC, while also enabling viewers to verify a member’s certification authenticity and better understand the requirements for earning that certification, according to a press release.
“With an ever-growing electronic society, having a digital badge is a great alternative way to showcase your credential on social media, email and even your company’s website with real-time authentication and biographical information — something you cannot get with a paper credential,” Debbie Ayres, ABC’s director of marketing and public relations, said in the release.
ProExam has emailed all ABC-certified members in good standing to claim their digital badges.
