BOC wins two Stevie Awards

The Board of Certification/Accreditation announced it has won a silver and a bronze Stevie Award, presented at the ninth annual Stevie Awards ceremony in Las Vegas. More than 1,900 entries from organizations in a variety of industries were submitted for this year’s awards.

According to a company press release, The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) received a silver award for the “Innovation in Customer Service” category and a bronze award in the “Business Development Achievement” category.

BOC’s customer service submission, titled “Innovation through Integration,” highlighted the unification of BOC’s certification and accreditation departments as well as its collaboration in the development of the CompWALK software program and mobile application. The business development submission, “BOC’s Story of Growth During Industry Contraction,” documented BOC’s action plan in response to a 23% decrease in the DME market, which included a business development initiative launched in 2012 to educate non-BOC-accredited facilities about BOC accreditation.

“Continuous improvement is a core value at BOC that inspires us to seek innovative ways to optimize the customer service experience for our certificants and accredited facilities,” Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE, BOC president and CEO, stated in the release. “”It is indeed heartening to receive this recognition for our collaboration efforts – within BOC and with our strategic partners – that have resulted in positive changes for our customers.”
