Ottobock North America has announced two new hires in its marketing department.
Rod McCrimmon, MSc, has been named the new director of marketing and Cali Solorio has been hired as marketing manager, according to a company press release.

McCrimmon will be responsible for the management of prosthetics, orthotics, bracing and mobility. He will also oversee the product marketing team.
McCrimmon previously served as director for integrated lab marketing at St. Jude Medical Center, senior director of marketing at Stereotaxis and has held numerous sales and marketing leadership roles over 11 years with GE Healthcare. He has a master’s degree in management from J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University.
“Rod’s significant experience in the medical device industry makes him an excellent fit for his new position,” Scott Schneider, chief marketing officer, stated in the release. “His proven commitment…and ability to market breakthrough technology is impressive. We look forward to his contribution.”
Solorio’s focus in her new position includes supporting new product introductions and the Orthopedic Rehab Business, as well as adding expertise to Product Lifecycle Management.
Solorio comes to Ottobock from Inova Labs where as a senior marketing manager she helped grow its product portfolio by 500% and establish the company as the premium and leadership brand for oxygen concentrators. Prior to Inova Labs, she held the positions of director of marketing for ICAP Patent Brokerage and marketing coordinator for Ocean Tomo. She has bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Southern California.
