Freedom Innovations, Irvine, Calif., has hired John Robertson as vice president of research and development.
Robertson has more than 25 years of experience in leading the development of high quality, high reliability and safety-critical systems in both R&D and operation management roles.
Robertson was most recently senior director of new product introduction at Masimo in Irvine. Previously he directed R&D for Cameron Health and also was chief engineer at Delphi, where he provided the overall leadership of the R&D organization for their automotive safety electronics product line.

Robertson has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and holds the prestigious Six Sigma Green Belt Certification for quality in manufacturing and management process control.
