Ottobock announced the appointment of Scott Weber as global product manager along with his role as US senior market manager for socket technology.

Weber will assume responsibility for the Harmony vacuum portfolio, concurrently reporting to Ottobock leadership in socket technology in Duderstadt, Germany, and the company’s marketing leadership in the United States. Weber has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and has been an integral part of Ottobock since he came to the company in its 2003 acquisition of TEC Interface Systems.
“In this dual role, Scott will tie in closely with our Salt Lake City operation where his frequent local presence will drive new Harmony product development initiatives in close proximity with local R&D operations,” Scott Schneider, chief marketing officer for Ottobock North America, stated in a press release. “With a strong technical and marketing background and sound professional experience in market and product management, Scott brings an ideal skill set to capitalize on opportunities and to manage future challenges in this pivotal business segment.”
