Ottobock North America has announced the promotion of Kathy Schuerman to vice president of finance.
Schuerman joined Ottobock in 2006 as controller, and most recently served as executive director of finance, after being promoted in 2012.

“In her previous roles, Kathy has guided the organization through dramatic changes in the industry and a global recession,” Andreas Schultz, president and chief financial officer of the company, stated in a press release. “Despite these challenges, she helped improve our financial position and mitigate downward pressures.”
Schuerman is a certified public accountant and a chartered global management accountant. She serves as a member of the Minnesota CPA Society, AICPA Society and the Institute of Management Accountants.
In addition to her new role, Schuerman will continue to serve as a member of the regional management team, where she will consult the leadership team and provide financial advice.
