The German Federation of Orthopedic Technicians’ Guilds will be hosting a discussion platform called the Global Networking Area, during the OTWorld 2014 International Congress in Leipzig, Germany, May 13-16.
The event will serve as a platform for professional associations and educational institutions to network, exchange ideas and initiate discussions that will bring qualitative improvements to the treatment of patients.
So far, 30 associations from 15 countries have signed up to present new information and developmental work. The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics, ABOTEC from Brazil, the All-Russian Prosthetists & Orthopedists Guild and various ISPO Member Societies are among the attendees.
“Even though the issues surrounding treatment and care are heavily influenced by individual national health services, we are united by one question that transcends all borders: how can we improve the quality of treatment for our patients?” Guilds president Klaus-Jürgen Lotz, stated in a press release.
