Presentation submissions will be accepted until September 15 for the OTWorld World Congress taking place May 13-16, 2014 in Leipzig, Germany, according to a news release.
To date, more than 40 symposia have already been organized, and presentation topics include orthotics and prosthetics, orthopedic footwear technology, rehabilitation technology, compression therapy and lymphology, podiatry and issues in materials research and materials science. There will also be seven keynote addresses throughout the Congress.
"The program for the Congress will address the growing social challenges relating to maintaining and restoring independent mobility," Wolfram Mittelmeier, Congress president and director of the Orthopaedic Clinic and Polyclinic at the University Hospital in Rostock, Germany, stated in the release. "It is, therefore, all the more open to contributions from a wide range of the most diverse medical and technical disciplines. The spectrum covered by the congress is impressively broad-based."
