Alan Oliveira broke the T43 100 meter world record with a time of 10.57 seconds at the Paralympic Anniversary Games in London on July 28, according to a report in BBC Sport.
Oliveira is a 20-year-old bilateral transtibial sprinter from Brazil. He broke his own record of 10.77, which he set at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics Grand Prix in Berlin in June.
American sprinter Richard Browne trailed Oliveira in second, improving his own record to 10.75, and Great Britain’s Jonnie Peacock earned third and set a new British record of 10.84.
