The Pedorthic Foundation announced that it has added two new members, Matthew Mirones, CPed, CPO and Anne Brussok,CPed, to its board of directors, according to a press release.

Mirones, a former president of the Pedorthic Footcare Association, has more than 35 years of experience in the orthopedic rehabilitation field and earned one of the first pedorthic certifications in 1974. He is the co-founder of ARIMED Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc. and was instrumental in the inclusion of pedorthics among the medical services available to Olympic athletes. Mirones is a member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association and American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, as well as a former New York State assemblyman, serving three terms in state legislature.

Brussokis a heritage channel manager at Birkenstock, USA, LP, where she has worked for more than 20 years. She has worked closely with independent footwear retailers, especially pedorthic-certified retailers, and has been involved with groups such as the National Shoe Retailers Association, Volunteer Center for Non-Profit Leadership, Employee Stock Ownership Program Association, National Center for Employee Ownership and the American Red Cross San Francisco Bay Area offices.

“The Foundation’s Board of Director feels extremely fortunate to have secured the interest and commitment of two such talented colleagues,” Jim Moore, CPed, the Foundation’s president, stated in the release.
