The Inner Wheel Foundation presented Carrie Davis with the distinguished International Margarette Golding Award for her dedication to the Foundation.
A Hanger Clinic upper extremity patient advocate and national coordinator of Amputee Empowerment Partners, Davis was born with a transradial congenital limb deficiency. She teaches children how to use their new prostheses for activities of daily living, according to a press release.
This award is presented to recipients who have been involved with a variety of charities or organizations, often involving a great deal of commitment. Additionally, the recipient must have made great personal sacrifices for the benefit of others.
