OPAF launches First Row

The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) launched First Row, the newest clinic in its series of First Clinics, during the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium in Orlando.

First Row teaches adaptive rowing to participants with physical challenges using ergonomic rowing machines. South Orlando Rowing Association (SORA) provided the equipment and instruction for over a dozen attendees. Oksana Masters and Rob Jones, who both competed in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London and were trained by SORA, were on hand to assist.

First Row will be included in the upcoming Amputee Coalition Adaptive Sports Expo, which will be held in conjunction with the Amputee Coalition National Conference in Orlando in June.
