The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is extending the 2013 Annual Enrollment Program for durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS) through April 15.
This extension is prospective only for new claims received on or after the effective date of the supplier’s participation deadline, so there will be no retroactive claims reprocessing. However, the effective date for any participation status changes elected by suppliers during the extensions remains January 1, 2013.
Suppliers should mail any requests for a change in participation status to: National Supplier Clearinghouse, P.O. Box 100142, Columbia, SC 29202-3142.
