The Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) has announced new officers and board members, effective Dec. 1, 2012.
Scott Williamson, MBA, CAE, who served last year as OPAF vice president, is now OPAF president. Taking over as OPAF vice president is Jim Young, LP, CP, FAAOP, a recent board member and owner of Amputee Prosthetic Clinic. Young is also a transfemoral amputee, athlete and musician. Justina Shipley, CO, FAAOP, will serve as treasurer. She is the director of orthotics and prosthetics for Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, La.
OPAF also welcomes Karen Lundquist, Sue Borondy and Renee Woodberry to the board of directors.
Lundquist is the director of corporate communications-North America for Ottobock. She is experienced in the health care industry with expertise in marketing and communications.
Borondy is marketing and communications manager for Endolite Inc. Woodberry is South Carolina chair for Patriot Voices, and is a strong social and political activist. She is also a paralegal with 15 years of experience.
