The National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics & Prosthetics (NAAOP) has added two new board members for the term of the 113th Congress, 2013-2014.

 

Donald A. Dotter

Donald A. Dotter, BOCP, BOCO, has practiced at Antelope Valley Orthotics and Prosthetics in Southern California for 10 years. Dotter earned his Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at California State University of Northridge before becoming certified orthotics and prosthetics. Since 2008, he has volunteered as a Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) subject matter expert and on BOC’s ethics committee.

Ashlie White has been the director of project development for Beacon Prosthetics and Orthotics of Raleigh, N.C. since 2008. She is currently the government affairs liaison for the North Carolina Orthotics and Prosthetics Trade Association. White also volunteers with the North Carolina Triangle Amputee Support Group and has worked on disability legislation issues at the state and federal level. She is currently enrolled in graduate studies for a Master’s degree in technology and communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her undergraduate degree in journalism in 2005.

“Both of these young professionals have shown a great interest in government relations advocacy. They will begin their service at our next board meeting on Feb. 20 in Orlando,” George Breece, NAAOP executive director, stated in a press release.
