The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics Inc. announced that Timothy E. Miller, CPO, has assumed the role of president of the organization’s board of directors effective Dec. 1, according to a press release.
Since joining the American Board for Certification (ABC) board of directors in December 2008, Miller has played a role in creating many of ABC’s current policies and brings with him more than 30 years of experience working in O&P. He has served as an orthotic, prosthetic and technician examiner, exam team member, chair for several ABC exam and certification committees and has written key components of the written simulation exams.
“Tim has shown a commitment to ABC over the past 20 years while serving on various ABC committees and has been instrumental in many aspects of leadership associated with the ABC exams,” Donald D. Virostek, CPO, immediate past president of ABC, stated in the release. “With all of his professional experience, Tim will be an exceptional leader for all of ABC’s programs.”
