The Orthotics & Prosthetics Activities Foundation (OPAF) held its first adaptive clinic in archery, First Target, at the Woodley Park Archery Range in Encino, Calif., on Oct. 28. The Mutual Amputee Aid Foundation served as the local host.
“Our participants included the complete range of leg amputees: hip disarticulation, double amputee above knee, below knee single leg, foot amputee and several ambulatory family members and caregivers,” Phil Tamoush, president of Mutual Amputee Aid Foundation, said in a press release. “We will schedule this again and our plan will be to have a half-hour session for first-timers and then 2 hours for everyone to enjoy free shooting at the targets.”
