biodesigns Inc., announced the opening of a new patient treatment and training center at The WaterCourt in Westlake Village, Calif.
According to a press release, the 5,400-square-foot facility houses multiple private patient rooms, a state-of-the-art rehab and training center, full fabrication capabilities, a research and development lab and a large open lounge. The company will soon be expanding the facility to include an occupational and physical therapy unit, and chiropractic, massage, nutrition and wellness services. Patients will also have access to an adjacent indoor climbing gym.
biodesigns will use the facility to teach prosthetists and other allied health professionals advanced clinical techniques, including its patent-pending High-Fidelity Interface System. It will also serve as biodesigns’ corporate headquarters.
“It’s always been our vision to have a comprehensive clinical, performance and training facility that reflects the dynamics of who we are and what we do. In terms of aesthetics, we wanted a space that was completely unconventional and adequately represented the forward-thinking biodesigns brand,” Randall Alley, CP, kinesiologist and CEO of biodesigns, stated in the release. “This two-story open space was originally designed to be a theater and has 35-feet ceilings with exposed rafters. We designed and decorated the space so it would not look or feel like your typical prosthetic office. We will be able to treat our patients, continue the development of our innovative biomechanical human performance products and provide resources and education to our allied health community.”
