Knit-Rite Inc., received International Organization for Standardization 13485:2003 certification for the company’s manufacturing facilities located in Kansas City, Kan., and Ellerbe, N.C.
Knit-Rite is the only comprehensive medical textile manufacturer in the O&P industry to achieve the certification, according to a press release.
“The ISO 13458 certification makes us stronger as a company and continues to build the level of confidence our customers have in Knit-Rite products. We want to show our customers that we are committed to take our quality standards to the highest level,” Chris Vering, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Knit-Rite, stated in a press release. “Our quality management system at both our plants is designed to meet the demanding needs of the medical industry, an important factor when our customer partners are considering potential suppliers.”
