College Park has donated prosthetic feet to Step by Step Missions in Tanzania, Africa, to benefit child amputees, according to a press release.
Step by Step Missions was founded to provide prosthetic care to albino children in Tanzania whose legs were amputated by local warlords practicing witchcraft, believing that albino bones fend off evil spirits and bring prosperity.
“We can’t imagine the barbaric mindset of these warlords and the horror they cause. We admire the team at Step by Step Missions for their passion to bring the prosthetic care that is so desperately needed. We only hope our prosthetic feet can bring back some of the functionality that was so savagely taken from them,” a College Park spokesperson stated in the release.
