The Center for Orthotic and Prosthetic Learning and Outcomes/Evidence-Based Practice received a contribution from the Board of Certification/Accreditation International, to further support its research efforts, according to a press release.
“[The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International, (BOC)] realizes the importance of outcomes and evidence-based research in the O&P field, and is pleased to support [the Center for Orthotic and Prosthetic Learning and Outcomes/Evidence-Based Practice (COPL)] for excellent work in this area,” John Kenney, MURP, BOCO, chairman of the BOC board of directors, said in the release.
“The COPL Board of Directors recently reviewed 18 research proposals to determine which of these proposals should be recommended for each of the four $15,000 grants funded by the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association,” William J. Barringer, CO, FAAOP, president of COPL, said in the release. “As financial support increases through the generosity of organizations like BOC, COPL hopes to undertake and expand further funding for evidence-based research in the O&P field.”
