The partnership merges Allard’s philanthropic spirit with the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association’s (CMTA) mission to improve the quality of life for those suffering from Charcot-Marie-Tooth. Allard plans to offer educational programs, training, and marketing support to orthotics and prosthetics practitioners and increase both consumer and professional awareness of new technology that can help individuals affected with neurologic deficits.
“Allard provides an innovative line of ankle/foot orthoses, which has proven successful with many patients living with CMT,” Pat Livney, chief executive officer of the CMTA, stated in the release. “Through a committed relationship with Allard, the CMTA is grateful to provide opportunities to improve the quality of life for CMT patients across the country.”
“Testimonials from wearers of our devices have been my inspiration to give back to the physically challenged community,” Peter Allard, president and chief executive officer of Allard International, stated. “Our partnership with CMTA is a major expansion in this evolution to give back. The synergy between the CMTA and Allard companies is amazing, and there is no doubt in my mind that this partnership will change many lives for the better.”
