Daniel W. Conyers, CPO, FAAOP, the national clinical director for Advanced Arm Dynamics, was inducted into the 2012 class of Fellows by the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He was one of 13 people to receive this distinction for 2012, according to a press release.
Conyers has more than 28 years of experience in prosthetics and orthotics, and has been an upper extremity specialist for 16 years. He is involved in international research and development projects, design consulting and beta testing with scientific groups, component manufacturers and individual researchers. He is a key member of the Advanced Arm Dynamics team of upper extremity specialists at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, providing prosthetic care for American soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Only a small percentage of O&P practitioners who have demonstrated the commitment to the highest level of patient care through the pursuit of continuing education and service to the community earn the Fellow designation,” Peter Rosenstein, AAOP executive director, stated in the release.
