The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. announced that Jim Lawson has been hired as the Outreach Development Manager.
Lawson’s responsibilities will include continuing ABC’s efforts to reach out to universities, colleges and O&P education programs nationwide, as well as representing ABC at state, regional and national meetings to provide information on accreditation, certifications and other ABC programs.
He has more than 13 years of experience in partnership building, public outreach and business development. He has also previously worked with local, state and federal agencies consulting on topics such as membership recruitment and retention, trade show and corporate sponsorship sales and customer service programs.
“Jim’s skills, expertise and proven track record of outreach development … will be a tremendous asset to ABC as we move forward with our plans for reaching out to individuals and business owners looking for a credentialing home,” Debbie Ayres, director of marketing and public relations, stated in a press release.
